Okay... hypothetically... with a hp goal of between 500 and 600 hp on pump gas, PTE GT series or similar turbo for street/track (not the straight kind) which motor would be a better bet in terms of durability and cost effectiveness? Assuming that both motors are built with forged rogs and pistons. Are there anything about a hybrid or the slightly smaller stroker that make it inherently better than the other?

first off i hope you plan on running some water or methonal injection to get that much hp on pump gas. but besides that your pretty much trying to do what i am. im going with the 2.3 stocker. with the gt 35r turbo

yeah 500 is definitely not an option on california 91 octane but i would also go with a 2.3 stroker

Stick to the topic as much as you can please... if you don't mind. Neither one of you said why you'd go with the 2.3 stroker.

I say 2.3L

If you are talking about long term( thousands of miles) then the motor with the stroke as closest to the bore size will be the one that will last the longest. Reason being there is minimal side loading of the piston to the cylinder walls.

Do I think it makes a difference..no. Why? Its a race motor, anything modified that much has to be expected to break. I personally went with a 2.4L set up because I feel as though I dont have to rev as high to get the same performance as a smaller displacement motor. Hence "saving " the motor.

I like the 2.4L

why, Torque and torque not saying the 2.3 does not have it but it makes a great street car. And bigger is alway better..
