To remove the two trim pieces around each quarter glass, you’ll want to understand how they’re fastened.

The first piece you’ll need to remove is the bottom trim. It’s held on by the top and bottom channels on the trim, to the clips on the body. Use a plastic trim tool here.

The lower part of the trim must come off first. With the trim tool in place, push down on the edge while twisting slightly (avoiding bending them). This should release the trim off the bottom tab. Now pull up to release off the top tab. Repeat for each tap EXCEPT for the last tab. The last tab is the only one that’s different as pictured below but removing it off the clip is the same.

Now that the bottom trim is removed, you can now remove the top trim.

It’s held on by “j” shaped clips on one side and channel clips on the other side (just like the bottom trim) x4.

Start from the rear and work towards the front. You’ll need to unhook the trim (channel) off the clip.

To do this, use a plastic trim tool here on the inside and lift up.

Once that’s off, you’ll have to push down to release the “j” hook off the body clip.

Now is a good time to clean the built up debris.

Before you reinstall the trim, make sure the “j” hook and the channel are straight as they may have been bent during removal.

Line up the trim before you snap them back on.
