I plan on doing a compression test at school this monday what all do i unhook, i know i take out wires and plugs ill probably replace em with ngk iridum's. also i think my thermostat is bad how do i test that do i just stick it in a pot of water at 180 degrees or should i just buy another one from autozone since there only like 8 bux.

buy a new one and replace, when the engine is cold, from my experience, just take out a plug at a time, and replace with your pressure conector. i believe you actually run it on 3 cylinders firing, and just test your fourth...then put back together and move to the next cylinder. get some professional advise first, thats just how i figured it would go.

I second that. Just when you "run" on three cylinders, that means you bump the ignition a couple times. Without the spark plug wires attached. Don't want to actually start the engine. You just want the pistons to compress.

i heard you take out all the spark plugs but i asked what do i have to disconnect, cause someone did it on a talon at schhol they took out all plugs and put wires on glass to not conduct electricity, cause thye didnt know what to disconnect, compression should be around 130-150 it said.

^^ anybody got a better pic of the coil pack connector or whatever cause the pic sux.
