How Much Boost ?

I sold my zex kit and putting in a teo4h turbo with 12:1 vortech fmu , 2nd gen talon bov and a front mount. This is all going on my 3.3 liter v6 intrepid engine. How much boost do u think i can run safely ? Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks -Jeff

Well, with that "setup", I'd bet you could get way up into atleast the high -1.5's maybe a little more if you plan on using manifolds, injectors, and stuff like that...

Where did you find an I/C that restrictive?

How much boost you can run is dependant on a whole crapload of things. The main things you need to be careful with are the fuel supply and timing advance.

The FMU is total crap, so it's not helping you at all. I assume you will have no method of retarding timing either, besides turning back the distributor.

You'd probably be best off staying below about 6 psi.

Properly tuned, I'd be willing to bet more like 10 would be ok.

I don't know how much boost you are going to be pushing, but the 2g bov leaks after too much boost
