OK, 1st a little background info:

Car is a 92 Talon TSi AWD, 89K miles, 6 bolt/4 bolt, bone stock, super good condition. Not used as a daily driver - more of a weekend fun driver.

Goal is to comfortably & reliably achieve between 300 - 330 whp in a streetable car that may or may not ever see the track. Don't want any of the systems to be near their upper limits to get to 300 whp.

1st step will be the obvious maintenance like replacing worn belts/hoses/filters/fluids, etc. Assume that's all done & next will be following the Stage 1 Tuning Guide.

Here's the parts:

Air Filter - K&N & hard intake pipe
Boost Gauge - Autometer Cobalt
MBC - Turbo XS Standard
TurboBack Exhaust - Apex'i N1 70-75 mm
Exhaust Manifold - inspect for cracks & port if OK, otherwise replace with 2G
Fuel Pump - Walbro 190 lph w/re-wire
Intercooler Piping - replace w/solid
Turbo - Small 16G
Injectors - 550 cc (need to upgrade these over stock?)
Clutch - ACT 2100
Shifter - Symborski Shift Kit & BG Synchroshift Fluid
Short-Throw Shifter? Don't see many of these for the 1G. Bad idea?
Engine Management - SAFC II
Sway Bar - larger rear / PU bushings
Shocks - Tein SSD Coilovers
Brakes - Power Slot Rotors w/ceramic pads
EGT Gauge - is it needed?
Tuning - Pocketlogger

Seem like I'm on the right track? Anything missing? Any & all feedback is appreciated!

While your at it i'm thinkin pretty much the same thing with a few different things

Air Filter - Extreme PSI Intake kit
Boost Gauge - Greddy Boost
MBC - Hallman Evolution MBC
TurboBack Exhaust - Bushar or Thermal R&D turbo back
Exhaust Manifold - not sure on this one
Fuel Pump - Walbro 250 lph w/re-wire
Intercooler Piping - Greddy Big Intercooler w/ pipes
Turbo - Evo 16g III
Injectors - 550 cc (need to upgrade these over stock?)
Clutch - ACT 2600
Shifter - Symborski Shift Kit & BG Synchroshift Fluid
Short-Throw Shifter? B&M Short Shifter

Get a ported evo III exhaust manifold, yes you will need to upgrade the injectors, and get a AFPR, get a ACT 2100, more comfortable to drive every day than a 2600, they just get annoying to drive around with every day, and 2100 is plenty for 300 hp.

Nice thread jacking.

Here's the parts:

Air Filter - K&N & hard intake pipe
Boost Gauge - Autometer Cobalt
MBC - Turbo XS Standard
TurboBack Exhaust - Apex'i N1 70-75 mm I'd just get a custom one made, or a cheaper one
Exhaust Manifold - inspect for cracks & port if OK, otherwise replace with 2G
Fuel Pump - Walbro 190 lph w/re-wire
Intercooler Piping - replace w/solid I'd recommend dejon tool pipes
Turbo - Small 16G Why not just get an Evo III? You may want to look into it
Injectors - 550 cc I'd go ahead and get 650's in case you decide you want to max out the turbo
Clutch - ACT 2100 I'd up it to a 2600, unless you don't want the pedal pressure of it
Shifter - Symborski Shift Kit & BG Synchroshift Fluid
Short-Throw Shifter? not many are made for the 1g's, and the ones that are don't have the stops in them to prevent overshifting the transmission. You could mod a real short throw shifter and put the stops on it yourself if you wanted, there's a link to it:

Engine Management - SAFC II
Sway Bar - larger rear / PU bushings
Shocks - Tein SSD Coilovers
Brakes - Power Slot Rotors w/ceramic pads
EGT Gauge - Its probably not necessary, but it wouldn't be bad to have. Mine is in the mail. :)
Tuning - Pocketlogger

Overall things look pretty good. I would just up some things a little bit, but that's just me. If you're sure thats all you ever want the car to have, then its fine, but if you decide to upgrade, its going to suck to have to buy parts again. Good researching.

Here's my list. Some parts from everyone and some I put in.:rocks:

Air Filter - K&N & hard intake pipe
Boost Gauge - Autometer Cobalt
Turbo-Timer - HKS/Blitz/Apexi
Plugs/Wires - NGK/MSD,Accel,NGK
MBC - Hallman ES
TurboBack Exhaust - Buschur, Thermal, RNR Turbo-back
O2 housing - ported 2g or Evo III
Exhaust Manifold - GT Manifold from dsmparts.com (flows better than both ported 2g and evo3 manifolds)
Fuel Pump - Walbro 190 lph w/re-wire (you'll probably only need a 190, but if you get the 255 you'll need an afpr and gauge as well)
Intercooler/Piping - Slowboy FMIC Kit w/piping
Turbo - Big 16g or Evo III 16g, properly ported of course
Injectors - 650cc's
Clutch - ACT 2100
Transmission - Symborski Shift Kit & BG Synchroshift Fluid
Engine Management - SAFC II
Sway Bar - larger rear / PU bushings
Strut Bar - Front and Rear
Shocks - Tein SSD Coilovers
Brakes - Power Slot Crossdrilled Rotors w/ceramic pads
Tuning - DSM Link

:talon:
Hey, thanks, Dream On. This is exactly the kind of input I was looking for. :thumb: We're pretty sure this is all we're going to do with the car. Have looked at & considered the EVO III since it's not much more than the small 16G. But weren't sure what the supporting mod requirements would be if we didn't want to push it higher than 300-330 whp. I.E., wouldn't an FMIC now be necessary? As well as the full 3" turboback exhaust, 255 lph fuel pump & therefore an AFPR, & at least 650 cc injectors?

We don't want to complicate the system so much that just driving around on the street requires constant tuning or there are lots of idle problems or 2 ft. flame coming out the exhaust (ha ha - just kidding:p ), etc. But we also don't want to have any 1 part be at or near it's max capability in order to just get in the area of 300 whp.
