I can't boost over 5psi with my boost controller, and I've done many leak tests with no results. To check to see if its just me being stupid and not doing the test right, or my MBC/actuator/hardware failure I was wondering if there is a way to hook it up so that it SHOULD just boost unlimted.

I have an aftermarket boost controller, so as soon as it builds over 7psi I'll shut her down cause I enver get that high as it is.

Is there a way to do this?

I agree with the redonkulous boost leak theory....

How did you build your tester? Are you using a valve stem dealy? Its is hose-clamped to the inlet on your turbo? If so, unless you have a crazy big leak, you should be able to stop hold the damn air hose to the tester and go check for leaks. If it's blowing out fast enough that you can't stop filling the system with air before it all leaks out, you have a biiiiiig 'ol leak.

You follow?

Then I have a biiiiiiig ol' leak. LOL

Haha yeah....just find a friend who has nothing better to do than to hold a hose on a little valve stem for a couple hours for you so you can find the leak :thumb:

My air tank has done well for me. It helped me diagnose my throttlebody shaft seals that were bad.

If you pressure the system up to atleast 20psi, and if it takes about 3 to 4 minutes to bleed off then your fine.
