How do I block off the oil intercooler?

Hi in my 91 talon I've just mounted in my new ( to me) swap engine it has the ports for the oil intercooler. Is it a necessity to have this installed? Or is there a way to just bridge the ports... Any info would be great thanks

Get an oil cooler from stmdsm.com or take off the housing and buy a regular housing.

Yes it's better. I can't even touch mine some times it gets so hot.

Absolutely if you can afford one put it on it will increase the life of your car.

i'd recommend using it regardless of your location. oil will still get hot in an engine being pushed hard

Leave it on... . It only has oil flowing in it once the oil has warmed up, BTW IMHO the sandwhich water to oil ones suck... . Also the water to air ones are rare only on 90's unless there aftermarket...

Sorry to get off topic but,Did your car Originally have a block heater?

no block heater was in place. it should of been there because the extreme cold starts and what not. not sure why it wasnt last owner must not of cared
