i my self despise honda's :barf: but my sponsor is building a CRX, and he has a B18B1 that he is putting in it. Will the stock CRX tranny bolt up to the B18, or will he need to purchase a b18 specfic tranny? or are they swapable (i don't know if thats a word? )

hey wants to run low 6's or high 5's in the 1/8, he is looking at some for some turbo kits, or some examples of nitrous set ups that would help too if anyone knows of any.

thanks

I still have all my love for crxs. But no the tranny will not bolt up to it. The ls tranny is a good one if he plans on going with a turbo it has a long gear ratio and you can pick one up fairly cheap. If he wants a closer gear ratio the b16 tranny is one for that but would be better for all motor applications. A gsr tranny is a good all around tranny as well. The drag turbo kits are nice as well as the greddy kits. Good luck with the project.:thumb:

LoL, honda trannys are 100 times better than a DSM tranny. I'm on my 2nd tranny rebuild so my DSM is out the door the day its fixed for a GSR LOL

i used to have a fast honda. I ran 12.8's in my crx. Never had a transmission problem. But damn, it cost a lot of money to get that car to go that fast. Then one day i was driving around and a truck hit my car and i went flying like 600 feet or so. Little econobox never stood a chance. Then i bought a dsm and after like 800 bucks or so, i ran 12.8's on a stock turbo..................hmmmmm. I dont like Honduh's anymore.
Hey aconover, remember when i raced you last summer................get smoked. :thumb:
