So, if you read the first part of my story in the "Build-up" section, you would remember that I now consider the 4g63 to be just short of M1 Abrams Tank proof. And if you didn't, you know now.
Me and a few co-workers went out to lunch one day to celebrate the fact that one of them, Dave, was leaving the company and headed to bigger and better things. Among the things mentioned was the fact that Dave had in his possesion a 1992 Eagle Talon Tsi that he needed to get rid of before his big move. Jokingly, I offered him $200.00 dollars on the spot without seeing the car. He told me to drop dead and that was the end of the conversation on the Talon. Well about a month goes by and Dave has to get rid of the car, so me and a friend go down and look at it. It has horrible idle surge, needs new wheels, the hidieous Hyundai valve cover is leaking oil everywhere, and the ecu is shot. But in spite of all that it ran, and ran exceptionally well at that. Once it got up and going it boosted great and shifted pretty good.
So obviously I couldn't turn down the chance to buy a 1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD 5speed for $450.00. So hands were shaken, papers signed, and me and my friend drove home with a project car.
I forgot to mention that me and my friend both bought the car, so we could both run it, share the track time, and share the expenses. This is how she sat when she came home.

The 4g63 is dirty and lots of parts need to be repainted and have the rust removed.

We are replacing the seats in these pictures with some from the local Pull-A-Part because ours had dried diet coke, beer, grime, and everything else you could think of. So out they came in favor of the black/white seat combo.
