Hoe to make a sub enclosure for a 98 eclipse gst

ok so i have searched and searched have found good ides but i dont know where to start to make the sub enclosure. i know mdf wood 3/4 and used glue not nails or screws but how exactly do i measure it.. like is it just trial and error or is there a template i can use and pencil it on the board. i want something like this.

Once you have the template for you car, it is fairly easy. I made a MDF base board for my car, I first used paper, then used cardboard and finally transferred the template to MDF.

what kind of paper did u use.. and where can i find something like that?? Home Depot?
