I dont f*N get it. 3 times today while I'm driving whenever I floor it my car cuts fuel and I get shoved against my steering wheel, I want to f*n kick my pos to the curb. It doesnt matter what frickn gear Im in, or how hard I push it, but it just randomly does it but only always in boost, leaving about 10 cars behind me almost rear ending me, stupid bullsh* I think I saw the a/f guage reading full rich one of the times my face was against the windshield. anyone got any frickn idea wtf this could be? I hope to god my hard pipes will cure this bs. It couldnt be my IC Pipes leaking THAT bad that I run so rich I hit fuel cut could it? I dont see how. :'( I have the muffle box by the smic removed and a piece of 3 inch exhaust piping shoved in there w/ 4 clamps holding it down (because before it kept poping off and that made the car feel the same except didnt jerk me forward as hard as this does.

and why would he leak test his engine? That has nothing to do with his intake track. Isn't leak testing to see where your losing compression from inside your engine? I'd say get a new B.O.V

Thats a "leak-down" test as opposed to a "boost-leak" test ;)

You may need to check your BOV (especially if you bought the TXS install kit), as those things won't hold any boost with any sort of integrity.

Edit: And, for god's sake people, when your car isn't stock...don't put the word stock in the thread, much less the title.

mmmk not much performance mods dont to my car. well anyways. i dont know wtf the txs kit looks like. it was on the car when i bought it. all i see is the bov and the ic pipe. thats all. + now like 5 layers of duct tape.

Stock means NO mods. Can you take a pic of what it looks like mounted to the pipe?

Does it look like this?

well we all know how picky u are w/ stock vs not stock. ok anyways. its the same setup except instead of a flange, theres just another piece that extends from the cube part down into the ic pipe and minus the horn theres a place to put a dump tube.

no i cant take a pic :(

There is no "picky" only correct terminology.

I was going to blame the adapter (mine leaks a bit, and my RBV-34 was awful until I threw some silicon at it), but that isn't a part of the equation. Damn.

I say add a bottle of dry gas (alcohol not ethonol based) into your gas tank and go through EVERY clamp on the intake/exhaust and test the system after EACH clamp/bolt. This is the only real way to know where its from.

wtf does that do?! LOL and btw i duct taped every single connection on my ic piping w/ like 5 layers of the stuff. i even wrapped my bov in duct tape. and yea i put silicone in the part w/ the washers cuz I thought it wasnt shutting or opening right at one time.

ughhh.... I think I've found my problem. it started happening tonight and I have 75% full tank of gas. so I turned my boost down to say 12~psi and it quit doin it. then as the night went on, it got worse, my turbo is making a whining sound, or wirring sound. :'( So now I've turned my boost as far down as I can and just hope that I can keep driving it softly till I can afford a 14b w/ conversion kit. anyone have any recomendations on conversion kits? (sp?)
