I just got my GSX back from the shop a week ago. Had the head gasket replaced by FFTEC. Now I'm having an issue with a high idle. When I start the car cold, it idles at 1000 like normal. Once it warms up, it gets to 800, also normal. At this point, I'll take it for a spin. I drive it hard for a mile, idle reaches 1000. After 2 miles it's up at 1500-1800 RPM. If I open up the hood and push on the throttle it will go back down to 800.
I've already cleaned out the throttle body really good. I've also driven the car about 200 miles so all computers should be reset since the time in the shop. I'm thinking of pulling out the bolt on the outside of the throttle a hair. Would this help? I don't want to screw anything up. What do you guys think this is?? Car runs flawlessly otherwise.
