hesitation with cams.

hey im looking into a talon thats already highly modifided. off boost it has a slight hesitation when accelerating. like a hicup. low rpms. its got BC 280 cams. owner says this is normal due to compressor surge or air flow, something like that. he told me to look it up. annyone help me? its got a gt35r turbo.

The bigger the cam, the higher in the RPM range the powerband is. Others with more experience might know better, but I'd say this is normal.

ya but youll be driving low rpms and it will be smooth, then there will be random hiccup then smooth again. i realize big cams are rough at low rpms and not perfect. i just wanna know if its normal. thx

My 264's do the same thing... I figured it's normal..

I also have a gt35r but with hks 272's and my car does the same exact thing. Its totaly normal.
