i was driving cruising and when i parked i heard boiling and i poped the hood and it was the coolant resoveir over flowing with oil and water mixed. what does this mean.it is brownish. i poped the little hose the runs from the thermostat housing to the coolant resovoir and steam was coming out of it. hhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeellllllpppp.

yeah i flushed the radiator and chocalate milk came out. so what is the final verdict? and i just finish 3 weeks ago swapping this 6 bolt motor in. i was getting ready to take it for tunning. this sucks.

First off, the person you bought it from should be kicked in the face. :D Seriously, they probably new if it was blown when you put it in. Have you pressurized the cooling system? Sounds like your pulling the head.

this happened the sameday that i installed the greddy catch can. i ran a hose from the pcv valve that runs to the intake. i ran the hose to the catch can. and from the catch can i ran to the intake. if that pcv valve cant breath can it cause damage to the head gasket???

i was only running 8 pounds of boost. with rich settings on my safc. the car was running fine for 3 weeks. everything was good.

Please explain this more in detail.

1. You ran the pcv to a catch can and from the catch can to the intake manifold (not the intake pipe, is that right?

2. Is the catch can VTA or internal?

3. Where is your breather on the passinger side of the VC routed to?

to the intake pipe not the intake mani. the catch is a greddy and does not have a breather on it.i just popped the valve cover off and  i saw three holes in the bottom middle, top right and in the bottom left. this is what happend to my last head. same exact places and same exact symptoms of oil mixed in the water. i guess those holes are where the oil escaped and mixed into the water. y does this happen:cry:

Although it's probably the headgasket, another possabilty is the oil filter housing. The oil cooler is not air cooled, but water cooled and these things have been known to break. Some mechanics I know at the local dealership call it the oil-water mixer, it's that bad. You might want to check it out.

the water in the water system is like brown paste. its goin to be a pain in the a!! to clean out. my car did not even over heat when this happend.
