headlights don't fit my 95 eclipse!

okay ever since I bought my 95 eclipse it came with the 97-99 type of bumper, but I believe the headlights are stock. The headlights are white, I believe the 97-99 headlights have a black background on them. The headlights just won't fit between the bumper, they're too big for it I believe and when I bought the car the headlights weren't bolted on they just sat on the bumper and they stick out when the hood is closed. So, would the 97-99 headlights fit this bumper? I believe I read on wikipedia that the 97-99 headlights are smaller, thus why I think they'd fit. I don't know though. I need some advice.

95 headlights will not work with the 97-99 bumper.

97-99 headlights will work but it will have a gap on the 95 bumpers.

try getting a pic up. it will make it easier to help.

I bet you are using the stock 95 headlights with the 97 bumper. best thing to do is to get some 97-99 headlights, stockers off another car (97-99) or ebay.

You have 95-96 lights, looks like the bumper was squeezed together to fit inbetween the lights.

yeah I know the car looks rough now, but as soon as I get new headlights I plan on taking it to get painted. I'm thinking of ordering these. 97-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse Halo Projector Headlights - Smoke. I called auto zone and advanced auto. They're charging $369 for just one headlight. What a ripoff!!!!

there is nothing bad its just that nowdays aftermarket exterior parts are a thing of the past, and people might look at them being a little bit ricey. but then agian its his car and he can do whatever he wants.

I feel i have to make a correction, 95-96 headlights CAN work with the 97-99 bumper but the fit will be very tight and not as flush.
Get yourself a pair of 97-99 headlights from headlightsdeopt.com, i just got me a set of those yesterday night ! They look great and it's for the pair ! Paid $104 shipped.

Those aren't bad, I have some projector lights, but they are not black

Projector headlights are cool, if you are low on cash.
But OEM is so much better!

If you got a 97-99 bumper but stock 95 headlights then just get 97-99 headlights. and at the same time if you can see if you can pick up 97-99 hood. the hoods are slightly different. and i mean slightly!

How so? didn't know there was a difference, does it curve in more slightly between the headlights?
