hey whats up i need a little help here i just bought a new ecu from pinamotor sports becouse my old one had leacky caps and would not start for 15 min also the old ecu would click after u turned the car off so now the new ecu is in the car ran great for 3 months but now its back to the same thing the only difference is it only takes at the longest 3 min to start. we put the car on a datalogger it said the intake air temp sensor was bad could this couse my hard starting any help would be great thanks:talon: :talon:

The intake air temp. sensor is located in the air flow meter. The ecu uses it for air density correction, along with the barometric sensor.

I could see how it could create a hard start condition if it was reporting seriously out of range temperature numbers to the ecu. The ecu would then calculate an incorrect air density, and consequently, the (wrong) calculated mix would be hard to light off from cold.

I would see if you can borrow a known good airflow meter for a test by substitution.

Good luck, and let us know what solves this problem.

thanks for the info i will give that a try i just hope it isn't the ecu again i will let u now if it works in a couple of weeks im just going to buy a new temp sensor since it needs one any way thank u again:talon:
