Current setup: CAI, Screamin Demon Coil, AFX UDP, 2 1/4 in catback, 8mm plug wires, rebuilt head, NGK plugs.

Possible Turbo setup: 8.8:1 or 8.6:1 pistons, forged rods, stage 2 clutch, 3in catback exhaust, Hahn stage 2 w/ FMIC

Does this sound like a good setup????? I wish someone would put a MOST COMMON SETUP FAQ. That would be cool. But lemme know your opinions, i plan on doing this over the summer, and i am curious as to what else i may need or is recommended for this build. Also a recommended amount of boost i should/could be running after the engine break in period???? Thanks.

hahn's website says that without any type of boost controller on an otherwise stock engine 8psi is what the wastegate actuator should get you

other than that the limiter is the injectors

many posts that i have read within this and other forums say that with stock injectors and lowered compression 10psi is the limit

i installed a set of 270cc injectors in mine with my stage 2 just to be on the safe side
the stock ecu will run them without having to lower your idle

i still havent went to the dyno with the new injectors to see how high i can get the boost before i go lean

i am by no means the expert but i have spent many nights researching and that is what i have learned

ok so basically i need bigger injectors, but nothign bigger than 270 unless i get an SAFC. If an SAFC is purchased what size injectors is recommended???? Anyone????

I heard running an SAFC on a 420a that has been turbo'd didnt really help much. My friend just got a fmu and a bigger fuel pump. i dont know if it helped with fuel curves and fuel flow or not though, havent talked to him in a while. but i heard the SAFC didnt work.+

brad, a tech a hahn and someone who seems to be very knowledgable has told me time and time again that on a 2gnt that it is extremely difficult to use a SAFC. something about how the safc was never meant for us and that getting them to work is very difficult
that is why they invented the portfueler
also
supposedly you can go to 310cc injectors but you have to lower the fuel pressure
with my 270's i get a noticable difference in power and still leave the fuel pressure alone

pocketlogger says that my o2 bank is .94 at 11psi
and since timing is between 17-19 at WOT i think it is ok

at least that is where i have read that timing should be at
