i remeber a long time ago when i was reading one of my predsm mags it was like 5.0 or something i dunno some car mag and i read about an intake system like CAI but with a fan installed to creat a constant pressure( kinda like turbos) anyways i was thinking more on this idea and i was wondering what kinda good it might do? not the same one but i was thinking of converting some sort of blower or vacume and running it into my intake or something. i know it sounds stupid but isnt that what tuning is? squeezine HP in whatever way u can?

Uhhhh ya i dont think thats such a good idea... where are you gonna plug it in to? plus the amount of air needs to change with the amount of throttle your giving it... But if you wish to try it, be my guest, and let me know how it works out... :thumbdown

havent you ever seen those electric superchargers on ebay?? obviously not but that is basically your idea and if you talk about getting one of them on here... it would be wise not to come back for a good long time :dsm:

take a nice chunk out of the bottom of your air box, sounds like you have a CAI, kinda cool considering all you need is a hammer.

....its hammer time!!!

The amount of airflow needed to be of benefit to an engine can't be produced by a routine electric device. The power required is just too great to be managed- which is why the backs of racerboy magazines aren't full of little ads for strap-on power extenders, and why you don't see them on every other car at the track.

Stuff that works gets used. By _everybody_.

Get one of those super trick helmet blowers and stick it in your intake. If it's enough to keep air circulating through a helmet it must be enough to supercharge your motor...no? :barf:  If you want more power do it the right way and go about getting a turbo or nitrous.
