has the gsx the same suspension like all gst gs and rs types?

or better question what problems can i exspect if i wanna lower a gsx?

thx@all

There is a difference. The GS and RS have different gas shocks then I think the GS-T or GSX, not sure about the GS-t but I know its diffrent from GS to GSX. Also when you order suspension components you NEED to make sure its specified for FWD OR AWD otherwise you will get the wrong parts.

Some manufacturers do not differentiate on springs for the FWD and AWD turbos. But I believe the struts are different on the rears and must be specified upon ordering.

Lowering DSMs more that 1.5" will require you to purchase a camber kit for the rear wheels.

Shocks are different (mounting bracket), and most companies tend to offer different spring rates for the FWD/AWD setup, (Do to weight differences.)

I can't find the link now, but I know I've read it somewhere.. It's all laid out as far as differences go between trim levels.
I think it's the GST/GSX also came with rear sway bars. (but for some reason I also want to say GS).

the suspension is almost the same for fwd/awd. Non turbo RS/ Spyder gs have no rear sway bars so they came with control arms with no sway bar mounting points. You can use AWD shocks and springs on a fwd eclipse (2g of course) Non turbo spyders can use the awd shock/spring also due to the weight. Also have you ever compared the springs/shock assembly from a 2g fwd to a 2g awd. They are the same for the front and rear with the exception of valving due to the awd weight. Since you said your going to lower a gsx then just get awd springs/shocks. Just dont put Fwd springs on an awd car, the springs will start to sag very quickly.

I have a slightly lowered AWD 1g and I have camber problems in the back, but there is a very simple vfaq.com write up about how to make your own kit. Good Luck.
