Gear Issues

I've been having a bit of issue's going into gear recently. At first I thought it was my crappy shifter, but I've noticed it goes into gear easy with the car off, and only has the issue when it's running.

Basically, I can't go into 1st/2nd/any gear really, too easy. I have to give it a little force to go into gear, and then you can't really tell it's in gear. (if that makes sense)

In my opinion, I thought it was the clutch dragging, except about 6 months ago I installed a new Southbend Kevlar/feramic clutch disc, and ACT 2100lb pressure plate. I don't think it's worn out that fast, as it hasn't even been launched. Could something be wrong with the hydraulics?

Have you tried adjusting the clutch pedal? To see if it helps at all.. I know you said it's a newer clutch right?

I did when I installed it. I haven't since then though, is it something I have to do regularly?

Yes the clutch probably has ~5000 miles on it.

I actually edited my previous post and said I followed that exact video haha

Is this something I need to do often? I haven't done it since I did it when I installed the clutch.

I do right after a new clutch install at least check it and.. I have had it it happen after about 1000 miles on a new clutch. I would try it and see if it gets any better if not you may have another issue. Was it shifting fine before?

yea make sure the clutch is adjusted correctly. also make sure you're cables are not binding up.

Your clutch has fully broken in, adjust your clutch master rod at pedal.

if adjusting the cluth dont fix it then i think the clutch master cylinder is going bad and cant produce enough pressure to depress the stiffer clutch

When you are under there adjusting it look at the end of the rod by the firewall to see if it is leaking.

OP, it wouldn't hurt to check the pedal for bends. Sometimes with aftermarket clutches (read heavier pressure plates) it can cause the pedal assembly to bend.

OP, it wouldn't hurt to check the pedal for bends. Sometimes with aftermarket clutches (read heavier pressure plates) it can cause the pedal assembly to bend.

There is a mechanical adjustment for the actuator rod under the dash. I'm pretty sure he meant to check the shifter cables.

I know about the mechanical adjustment. I may have misread his post though, for some reason I thought he was talking about a cable clutch.
