On a stock 16in rim what is the widest you can go on a front-wheel drive 1st Gen DSM without it rubbing or compromising handling radius?

What about 16" rim?Ive ran 275/50/15s on the front of mine before when it was a street car. Would slightly rub on the inner frame rail and just a tad on the lower trim. Only enough to rub paint and not make noise.
. Would have to compare sizes. I think my size was around 25.5x11"
