fuel pump install question in my 1999 gst

Hey i was about to do it and following instructions from vfaq, but when i looked at mine, i had 2 wiring harnesses going to it, the picture just showed one


The one in the picture is also in mine, but then i have another harness plugged in, just wanted to know what that was, and if everything was stilll going to work out with my 190 walbro pump and the install instructions

I asked that a while back too when I was about to do my rewire. I didn't get any answers though. Maybe this time it'll be different, because I still want to know. Plus, I'm doing a fuel pump install soon.

Not absolutely sure on this one and I am just going to make an assumption.

The only electronics in your fuel tank are the pump and the gauge/warning lights. The other harnes should be for these and not change your swap at all.

Take this with a grain of salt but you only have 2 wires you have to change on the fuel pump swap so you shouldn't have a problem. Just trace the wires from the old fuel pump to wherever you are going to splice in.
