Okay, I have frost and ice all over the inside of my windows when I get in it when it gets really cold.... my windows are kinda loose, like I can wiggle them a little bit. Could this be the problem because it gets really annoying when it takes me like 25 minutes for it to melt because it is pretty much acutally ice. Or could it be something else. Anyone ever have this problem or have a solution?
Thanks

If you can wiggle them enough for air to get in, then that's probably why you have frost inside your car. Fix the window track, get new weatherstripping if needed and you should be okay.

if you have a knob that controlls the inside/outside air from coming in, make sure when you have the heat on, it is on outside, and when you are parked with the car off, make sure it is on inside. mine had ice on the windows still i started closing it when i wasn't in the car.

I have the same problem. It gets really bad. Especially that window between the door and rear window.

just keep your heater on with the fresh air selected....if you recirculate the air, it picks up the moisture from your breath and shit and will do that....also it will fog easier with it on recirculate

I've tried the inside/outside air toggle and it doesnt help. My window does not wiggle, and I cant see any cracks or holes where the air would seep through unsually.

Just like Defiant said, I believe there is frost on the inside because the warm air touching the window condenses, then freezes.

So if I blast the AC to drop the moisture, then what good is having a heater.

If this is the case, then why don't other eclipses frost too? A better arguement would be, why are the select few cars frosting??

"moisture from breath and SH**?!"

Another thing - if your feet have been wet (from snow) and you have snow inside the car, don't turn the heater on the floor option. If you do, it melts the snow and evaporates the water in the footwell, which happily makes its way onto your windshield.

FYI you CAN turn on the heat with the AC on... the car will just blast out hot air and at the same time, draw out the moisture in the air. The temperature does not have to be set on "cold" for the ac to work... this applies to many other cars also.

Therfore, you'll be warm and toasty without the hassels assosiated with fog and moisture. :)

I know this as I live in Toronto... I'm not too sure if this applies to American cars but i would THINK that this is standard in most cars...

The AC won't overcome the heater. On Defrost, DSMs (and pretty much everything built since about 1975 or so) run the AC on "high" to make moisture drop out.

I think you've gotten more moisture into your car than most of us- however, even in our pretty-mild weather, my windshield will fog up using the heater without the AC. The 1G did it as well. So did my '84 200SX Turbo. None of them were losing any coolant.

Not too sure what that is...can you describe it a little more?

on your heat control panel there is a slider for fresh or recirculating....left is fresh...in the winter its best to keep it on fresh so your windows dont fog over
