Found my first welder, few questions.

I've reading alot of threads of what everyone uses and everyones projects. Here on dsmtuners and sister site 2gnt.com Outstanding job.

Checking out HF's welders, I'm deciding not to go cheap.

Here's what I'm going with.

FREE SHIPPING — Hobart Handler 125 115V Flux Cored/MIG-Ready Welder — 125 Amp Output , Model# 500495 | Wirefeed Welding | Northern Tool + Equipment Also, going to be getting the cover for it. Replacing wire feed with lincoln brand due to there's alot good reviews of lincolns welds.

I wont be doing a whole of welding, just repairing a bad lower tie(radiator support). fixing a jack support, passenger lower jack point( my younger popped a hole through the pinch weld while jacking up my car. Pretty, the lower corner section needs replaced either panel from donor car or sheet metal.
If I use sheet metal, what gauge steel is our body panels?

So, what do you think is it decent?

Excellent choice for an entry level MIG.

Get some shielding gas if you are going to be welding on sheet metal. IT will go a LOT better.

Can't go wrong with that. I got the handler 140 and it was worth every penny.

My first welder as well!, easy to use and uses off the shelf Tweco parts.

My recommendation is to replace the gas line from bottle to regulator, it's a low quality rubber, and has a tendency to develop leaks.

Now it's time to build your fist projects, a decent welding table, and a third hand.

I would go with the 140 to be honest. Eastwood is also a good entry level welder if you have not already looked at them.
