are there any turbos made by ford that would be an upgrade for our cars? I can get ford stuff for a pretty sweet deal but i cant think of anything they make.

why couldnt one of the turbos off of the diesel trucks or a cosworth work? i know i would have to make a turbo manifold but shouldnt the rest be pretty easy

remember u would also need a custom o2 housing with a hole for a o2 sensor, water lines (if the turbo requires one), and oil lines. this would probably be a pretty tuff time to make this thing work. also u have to think if this turbo is smaller than the one you are currently running. most cars use t25 for stock turbos.

Ah. So, now you're asking if you could make up a custom manifold, oil/coolant supply, wastegate et al and get a Ford-intended turbosupercharger to work. Not quite the same question as asking "are there any turbos made by Ford that would be an upgrade for our cars?", is it?
With enough effort, people have forced FWD DSMs to be AWD DSMs. Whether it actually paid-off or not is another and rather subjective question. Custom fabricators don't often come out and explain how large a slice of their life's ever-dwindling time was out-and-out wasted on their stubbornness.

I don't think Ford makes any turbochargers. I don't know how happily a Chrysler or Mitsubishi engine will match up with any of the Ford-part-numbered turbos, but it should be just a matter of looking up the Turbo flow charts and seeing what they say. As for the equation working out, I'd be surprised if you could get enough of a deal on a non-fitting part to make the customization work worth it, but again, that's probably more a subjective than objective question.

thanks guys, i was just wondering. those adaptor kits are sweet.....im probably just gonna shell out the cash for a mitsu one. I was just wondering since i could probably get one for free or close to it. Im a college student with very little cash so i have to spend carefully.
