Anyone else experience this? I just started noticing a week or 2 ago.
Under acceleration where you can slightly hear the injectors over engine noise, I hear a series of clicks that form a creaking type sound (similar to a wood creaking, or body flex in a car)
then I started listening to injectors at the fuel rail and it was them. I'm 99% positive.
It was irking me for the past few days until i "identified it" I haven't been driving my baby. I just want to be sure if anyone has the same noise going on.
I guess its the "oversized" 1050s and thier extremely low duty cycle at near idle speeds.
The sound is easiest to reproduce at low rpm, and almost impossible to hear at speed or any engine noise over 2000 rpm.
It really does sound like a motor mount creaking or something but the most prominient source is from the FIC's
Im also running the FIC fuel rail.
I can hear the noise best in the cabin of the car windows up, sitting still. Its really hard to hear outside the cabin (almost impossible even when looking over the engine)
I use a stethescope to pick up the sound from the injectors.
