2G Fender Ground Effects

I'm looking to replace my Fenders and I've come across some that are labeled "with ground effects" or "without ground effects". Can anyone tell me what the difference between the two is?

It’s likely talking about the side skirt moldings that came on the GS and higher trim levels. There was a section that goes onto the fender. It doesn’t look like your car needs it, from the one photo. I would buy either as long as it’s the color you need, the trim should be easily removed.
