having raced shifter karts that last 8 years I have to say its about half and half some girls are good drivers others suck and got a ride jsut because they are females. Danika Patrick Great diver got to where she is because she is fast and was in the right place at the right time
sarah senske horrible driver only got where she was becasue she was a girl. same with sarah fisher. if you earn yor ride because your fast and at the top of your game more power to you no matter what gender.

like someone said a while back. Most people have to prove themselves to me. Like i dont even claim to be a good driver. I think i am, but i dont want to tell someone that i can drive and then end up being really bad.

i think girls want thier cars to "look good" and guys want thier cars to "look fast."

Yesterday, i was on the interstate going to my Grandma's and i pulled up to a girl in a 2000 civic with graphics, euro's, stickers, rims and an exhaust. I passed her, slowed down, passed her again. Then i got even with her and reved a few times. She never so much as looked at me.

Any time you find yourself making the distinction [women, men, blacks, Asians, ricers, rednecks] you need to pause and ponder why.

The first thing you do to an enemy is make him less human by applying a "tag". ###, Nazi, Cong, Taliban, all substitute for "other person".

At least in racing, all you have to measure against is a clock. I don't know if there's any "reason" that so few women are successful in racing, but Shirley Muldowney did goddamned well. Janet Guthrie didn't make as much an impression. But in racing, there's always another question: if Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard swapped cars and backup tech, what would the outcome be?

We _do_ live in a racist, sexist, ageist, etcetera-ist society. Even bigots are discriminated against by those who aren't. You just have to cope with it as it occurs.

There are some good female racers out there. The reason you see very little is because the female brain does not have the capacity to drive stick.
