I recently purchase a 91 Talon TSi AWD A/T. I've been doing some maitenance work before I begin modding to try and get everything running right before I bolt stuff on and start breaking stuff. I'm gonna get an MBC and some gaugest first, and after that I plan on going with a new exhaust system. ExtremePSI has the N1 catback + exhaust for $699 shipped which seems to be a pretty good deal. I'm considering buying it but wondering if the 3 inch will be overkill? I do plan on modding along the way and upgrading turbo and such. Will the only problem I experience be boost creep? Any other suggestions or comments appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

well you have the smaller turbo becuz ur a/t. its a 13g??? 13b?? i forgot what it is. So that means u should atleast upgrade to a 14b if ur gonna get a 3 in exhaust as u need back pressure to run a turbo. and that turbo is just too small. Upgrade to a 14b after u get gauges and a boost controller. Then go to a local exhaust shop and if u have a welder have them bend the pipes and weld them in yourself. Otherwise have them make u a 3 in exhaust it will be a lot cheaper than buying that $700 exhaust system ALOT CHEAPER!!!

back pressure to run a turbo? umm, No.
If you plan on upgrading your turbo and doin some mods, then by all means go ahead and get the 3"....it's pointless to get a 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" now then just upgrading it to the 3" later.... :thumb:

3" will be alright on the 13g? I do plan on upgrading to an EVO III 16g down the line.

you will almost certainly have creep with the 13b, but it shouldn't creep too badly....
