I plan to do the evo III 16g turbo swap soon and I was thinking about purchasing the evo o2 housing along with the turbo. Will this o2 housing bolt up to my rsr downpipe just like my stock 2g o2 housing does or will I need to get a new downpipe? If it won't bolt up how would a ported o2 housing compare to the evo o2 housing?

yup it will, becuse evo iii o2housing is just like the stock one - so it definatly it will bolt on to your dp that bolted unto your stock o2housing. hope that makes sense. enjoy your evo iii - how much are you paying for all this? will it be ported? lucky you.... i want an evo iii 16g

I was going to get the forced performance package that comes with a ported evo 16g and ported evo o2 housing.

Here's a link if you want to check it out.

Actually, it doesn't bolt up good due to the angle of the DP flange on the EVOIII housing.

RRE makes one that fits properly though

Hmmmm, I remember when I tried to install an RSR Downpipe into my friends 99GSX with EVO3, it did not bolt up. We dremmeled the crap out of the bolt holes, and finally gave up and just cut the flange.

Then had an exhaust shop weld on a new one.

Does RRE have a Stainless option for their downpipes?

You're wrong.
It might bolt up with some forcing, but the flex section will break. Or might not bolt up at all.

They all are stainless steel, I believe. :thumb: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclexhaust.htm

Thanks for the information. How much of a performance difference do you think it would be running the ported 2g o2 housing instead of the ported evo o2 housing on the evo 16g?
