Evo IV exhaust manifold will it fit on a jdm engine

recently bought a Evo IV turbo planned on swapping it with my stock 14b, will the exhaust manifold fit? will I have to scrap my power steering pump
 
I think only the evo 3 manifolds will work...I could be wrong but I am shopping for an evo 3 one because it flows better. I hope someone comes up with an answer for this because that would be nicer if it flowed better.

will the evoIV mani with turbo work on my 1g? or did I just waste my money?
 
you wasted your money for sure. i thought about this too but did research way back when
 
I'm real new to the dsm scene, can anyone explain why this wouldnt be a direct fit? this way I have some info when I try to return this setup,

Thanks for the info guy's, tried trusting a local tuner shop and got burnt for 400 for the evoIV turbo and manifold
 
Although the evos and dsms share the 4G63 platform, major changes have been made throughout the years. On the evo, the motor is completely different. It sits on the passenger side of the car but with the exhaust still facing the front. To make these kinds of changes, major modification had to be done at the factory. This is why you dont see anyone on here using many evo 4-9 parts. Look up some pictures of the evo engines and youll see what Im talking about. Just because its the same engine code doesnt mean its gonna fit your specific vehicle. It would be nice though...
 
If you got a good used turbo, you can cut losses by selling that e.manifold and then $250 - 300 for the turbo doesn't seem so bad. Ebay it. It's a stock part...LOL. ebayers love stock cheap replacements.
 
The turbo would be located in the wrong direction and would be located to close to alt/power steering. You could have just found a used e316g for less and it would bolt right up, and it would yield the EXACT same results. If you need a manifold, you can get a 2g(and if you ported the exit you couild have evo3 clone), or a evo3 or for 200 you could get the fp race manifold which is considered the best by many.
 
Evo iv-9 all have a turbo facing the other way so instead of facing passenger t faces driver side which won't be worth the time and money

Thanks again guys! I will probably get jumped on for this but will a 16g work with the cyclone intake? if the cyclone is properly set up
