i was at autozone and noticed a sunpro "cheepoo" electric oil pressure gauge with sender which had 1/8 npt fitting for the sender 4 30$. I was wondering if anyone has used one of these for their fuel pressure inside the cabin. I got the maual gauge on the fuel filter and was thinking about getting a gauge for inside cabin. The gauge went from 0-100psi. Did not look super acurate but hey if it close at WOT it would give good indication of any problems. I dont see any electric fuel pressure gauges for less thant 185$.

well not to say it has to be a sunpro, but autometer has electronic oil press gauges for like 55-60$. they are 0-100 also. pressure is pressure right. as long as the fluid does not wreck the sender. why is there so much of a diff in price between fuel and oil when they both should have the same components?

I've been using an electric oil pressure guage to monitor fuel pressure for 4+ years. I don't remember which brand it is but I got it from Summit for about $35. Rigging up the sending unit was the trickiest part. I used a brass Tee spliced into the line leading to the fuel rail and ran the wires to the guage on my console. Works great. If you're already tapped for a gauge on the rail then all the better. :thumb:

I don't know why there's a $$$$ difference in oil pressure or fuel pressure sending units but what difference does it make what the liquid is it's measuring? They're both petroleum based liquids under pressure.
