I had the pro kit and liked it a lot. Wasn't to low that things got annoying or ride was harsh.

I personally like the really low look so I would vote sportlines. If you just want to close the fender gap and give it a little more agressive look then I would go with the pro kit.

I'd say Pro-kits if you want to retain any semblance of suspension travel on a 2G.

To all the people who has prokit installed: Did you guys have it installed on stock shocks? I wanna lower my ride and use prokit springs on stock shocks, do you guys think it will have the same ride comfort as stock springs/shocks? I also heard the Prokit springs will wear out your stock shocks really fast. Is this true?

I would much rather have prokit springs on stock shocks because I don't have much money to spare but if it is not a good idea, which shocks would you guys recommend to go with prokit for a smooth ride and great look?

Thanks!

Here is how high my car is right now.

Yes it will wear out the stock shocks faster. KYB AGX struts work well with the Eibachs

Thanks for the replies guys, although the posts look like this: Prokit, Sportlines, prokit, sportlines, Prokit. Just seems to be there isnt a clear choice on what I should kit, although seeing some cars in this post make me want to get the Sportlines, cause some with the still look a little high to me, except for trbotaln, why is yours so low with a prokit when evreyone elses seems to be higher??

Guy, it's YOUR car, and it's YOUR opinion on it that matters. It all depends on how low you want to go.

Reread the thread. I see one guy saying "Sportlines" and the reason given was looks. Most of the others seem to be aware that this is a performance forum and said "Prokit" or even went the next step up and said "H&R." Start a new thread in the ricer forum and see the balance of the responses swing back to Sportlines.

I think the reason mine looks lower is because all of my shocks are blown. :D

When a low-pressure gas shock "blows," the car doesn't sink much. More likely that the Eibachs sagged.

Ok, here's something to back my decision. I say Pro-kit because, look at my front bumper, that's what the Sportline springs did to my bumper! Now I don't scrape any more since I ditched those Sportlines. :thumb: BTW, I don't have the Pro-Kit.

They are both CRAP.

Both are way too soft for their ride height, or way too low for their spring rate.

Everybody on this forum that knows their @$$ from their elbow has said exactly the same thing, so why waste everybodyies time ?

Use the search facility, these have been commented upon numerous times, by people with mathematical data, people with empirical data, people with both data.

If you've read the data available, your only remaining question is how low can the car go before it looks stupid. You already know it will ride like crap, handle like crap, and stop like crap. With all due respect use Search, the data is all there, go read it.

Cant say that i agree with ACM, i have the sportlines on my car, and i have no prolems with them at all, matter of fact i love them. Do i Auto-X no, but you can ask some of the back roads of VA, they handle just fine. As far as stoping goes, i havent run into the back of anything, or lost control during heavy breaking, so i dont think they suck for breaking. As far as ride hight goes, i would go with pro-kit, i love the look of my sportlines, but a little bit more clearance would be nice.

Yes, the ride is rough, but thats how i like it. Last time i check my car was a sports car, not grandma grochery getter.

Chuckles -

The Great Unwashed are not that way because there is no soap and water. Rather (and to mix metaphors in an outrageous manner), they are horses dying of thirst on the shores of a lake. I tried playing the "here are the results from the relevant search" game for a few hours this afternoon (while waiting to see if Dennis would like try burying the hatchet [in some place other than my back, of course]); no effect at all.

Ask me if I was surprised.

ps. my region now has access to the main runway, as well as the taxi-way and infield

boosted - I understand you have illuminas with tokico springs? I was wondering if you scrape a lot with that 1.75" drop that tokico claims those springs have? If the claim is correct , 1.75" is the same as eibach sportlines. I hear quite a few people say the sportlines are too low.

I scrape since I got the rmdsm LOL. :thumb:

...but before, no I didn't scrape too much. I just watched where I was going.

Actually, after I installed my new shocks my car rose back up about an inch. I felt like I was driving a monster truck after.

I have the pro kit and kyb's and while it isnt the all out auto-x monster that some people crave, it looks nice, handles much better than stock, and in my opinion, a good street setup. Examine your goals for the car and how you will use it to determine the suspension that fits your driving.
