i need to change my brake pads but when i bought the car it already had aftermarket rims which have about 10 or 11 spokes i can literally spend 30 min on each wheel whne i wash the car, that's why i want some brake pads that are either dust free or reduce the dust they let out, the thing is i don't know what kind to use.

there are no brake pads that are dust free that i know of.. I mean they have to have some kind of dust.. I do know that ebc Greenstuff brake pads sold at summitracing/etc are virtually dustless. They have just a little dust compared to most i have seen. Which is why when i get new pads that is what they will be.

Features and Benefits of Greenstuff brake pads

Upgrade brake performance by up to 30% over OE pads, friction co-efficient of 0.46µ
Excellent initial bite resulting in instant response, no warm-up needed
Leading fade resistance on the street, heat stable to a blistering 1000°F
Extremely low rotor wear due to high Kevlar content
Low dust formula, great for alloys due to zero carbon content
Low vibration, smooth operation

Like the man above said. EBC Greenstuff is the way to go. The pad re-absorbs the dust back into the pad, something weird like that. :thumb:

my question is does it reduce grinding from the drills/slots on the rotors because i have nasty ass grinding with my oe-spec pads which are now worn down to damn near nothing.

I am not sure, but I would think yes. When you replace the pads put some brake pad anti-squeal on the back of the pads. This will help hold the pads against the caliper son they don't "chatter". Something like this (Others may prefer a different brand):

I just bought EBC Green Stuff pads for front and rear and Brembo Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors (I know they are after market) off of ebay for the front. I believe my front passenger rotor is warped or something because after the brakes warm up it makes a weird cyclical grinding noise that sounds like it grinds at the same spot as the brakes are applied. I haven't installed them yet because I am waiting on ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid and Braided Steel Lines to arrive. The blue fluid will allow me to know when I have flushed the line and the formula is supposed to be good. It has been highly recommend by several of my friends.

I was originally going to install ceramic pads because of the very low dust they produce, but decided against it and went with the EBC pads (after I had bought the ceramic pads, which are for sale for 1 more day on Ebay... if they don't sell there then I'll try here in the classified section : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bend...33567QQitemZ8002995055QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW)

Anyways, I hope that helps.

yea i went ahead and ordered EBCs for my fronts and backs it was only $100 with my work discount both of my boses at work got them, one in his CLK 230 and his RX-7 and they said they work great, and you cam't beat that price so well see how good they are i'll post the results.

well i eneded up buying the EBCs green stuff pads and i found out i needed new rototors so i bought those too, all i can say is "DAMn that car can stop, i can literaly stop on a dime" i had someone pull infront of me when they had the red light and i went from 45mph to a dead stop in a matter of a couple feet, can't imagine how it would stop if i had gotten the crossed drilled/ slotted rotors.

Porterfield R4-s is the pad....Forget about dust free because it doesn't exist.
Buy the pads that stop your car the best, not the one's that promise to keep it clean.
The Greenstuff is a pretty decent pad but the Porterfield is better yet.
