i have 550 rc injectors at my house and i plan on buying a turboxs blow off vavle i kno that alot of people are not big fans of not re routing back into the intake but i cant help it i love the sound ! and thats y i wanna buy the afc or the maf but i wasent sure witch one would be better ? my car ir pretty much stock but i wanna kno what would be the best for now and future upgrades

i'm assuming you mean the gm maf and a gm maf translator? if you get that combo, it will let you vent the bov since you like the sound so much.. if you get the afc, DON'T vent to atmosphere and be sure you recirculate it.

as for which is better... some will argue both ways but ultimately the afc is better to tune with as it gives you a lot more control of what's going on. a lot of people use both though and that usually works very well.

that sounds like the best idea i dont mind spending alil extra for something i like will i need a tune right away if i get both ? i wasent sure if they would both work without problems

See now all you need is a conversion table for voltage from GM MAf VS Frequency of MAS. From there every thing is simple it can even be done with out a microprocessor, if you use diodes in the feedback loops of an opamp to change the gains at different voltages.

So is $200 over priced for this device. Yep you betcha

But it is a lot easier to use a sensor map with a micro because you need to use a lot of math to do it with an opamp. And idiot can program the micro to interface with a DAC and every else needed, also if you used a micro you would need a DAC to read the voltage from the sensor, then the micro reads the DAC and can output a square wave based on this into an open collector buffer to pull the square to what ever voltage the ecu needs probably 5V.

sence you need a logger - and a afc along with the maft would be nice.
save your $$ and get a dsmlink. a maft is alot easyer to tune with a dsmlink.
