dry kit

A dry kit injects the nitrous into your intake system. Then the Air Sensor reads the colder temperature and adds more fuel to balance out the mixture. I don't quite understand exactly how it does that. But since it's colder air flowing it, computer thinks it needs more fuel; erego, you get more fuel witht he nitrous. You only need 1 solenoid. If you do a purge and dry kit, you need 2 solenoids.

I've had a lil experience dickin w/ the systems, I happen to sell them

Actually, In our cars, using just a plain dry kit will not result in the car adding more fuel.

Theres just too much misinformation on nitrous out there these days.

If using the stock MAF, how the hell is it going to read additional airflow/cooler temps if the nitrous is injected in say the UICP? It doesnt. Also, "adding fuel for the cooler temps" is BS. Nitrous doesnt add power simply because of the lower temperature. Nitrous oxide itself carries more oxygen molecules than regular air does. Even besides that, there are other properties that add power.

Anyways, if you want to do a dry kit, then you get a setup that adds fuel pressure when the nitrous kit is activated. Either that or get DSMlink, or a GM MAFT, both have nitrous controls where additional fuel can be added via the injectors.

Also, yeah, you only need one solenoid for a dry kit.

You can't inject the nitrous in the UICP. It has to be pre MAF sensor. Since your cars can't use a dry setup, means you've got a returnless fuel system. I agree on the misinformation out there, always get the facts from someone who has had experience with nitrous on your particular car.

We do not have a returnless system. We have a regular old bypass type system.

Also, normally Id agree and say you should inject pre-maf (no UICP install) but if you are running a GM MAFT in blow-through, then its definitely possible. Even if not in blow through, you can set the aux wire on the MAFT to add fuel when the nitrous is activated.

so how do u figure out what jet to put in your fuel line say if u run a 50 shot or a 75??
and when the jet says like .22 or whatever how do u know how big of a shot the # says on the jets? thanks

This post is about dry kits. There are no fuel lines or fuel jets. Either way, nitrous kits have "keys" of part numbers to help figure out which pills/jets are for 50,75,100 etc shot...
