people who down the t-28's are idiots and have probably never been around one for instance to the person who said they spool up faster than 16g so you will spin worse, they only spool up a couple of hundred rpm's faster and the big 28 which i have flows the same 550cfm as the big 16g so there goes everyones theory about them "not being worth a shit so go with a 16g because i am even dumber than i make my self sound and like to run my mouth about things i dont even know about" trust me you will love the t28 as step up from the t25 its perfect for a FUN daily driven car and if you want to install it yourself its a bolt on turbo so obviously.. and for people that are still going to run there mouths about the t28 i have 130k miles on my car and cant drive worth a crap and my first time at the track with mine i ran 3 passes all three 8.44's on pump gas running very very rich
and just to you know its potential on one of those three passes i out ran a mustang gt on a 100 shot :D

No they are not idiot's. Like another poster said, after a month with my ported FP28 I was regretting my decision. It's only a mild upgrade over a T25. That's it!!!!!!!!!! I have an FPGreen less than a year after buying a T28 as proof. Fortunately I will be installing the FP28 in my 92 Talon TSi AWD so not all is wasted. :)

How much of a lag increase are you seeing between your FPgreen and your old T28? What are you impressions on the difference between the driveability between the two? What rpms do you start feeling the torque hitting at on the Green. Sorry for all the questions, I'm looking at a T3/T4 myself. Thanks.

Anyone who is serious about making power in thier car in the top end is not going to be sticking with a T28 for very long. Don't get me wrong, it's a great turbo and makes excellent low end power and good mid range power, but it's top end sucks. The first issue is the actuator which will flounder around 5500ish or so. FP got thier T28 into the 11s I think, but that takes some serious skill to do that.

Plain and simple, you want to run a mid to low 12 or better, get a 50 trim or even a 20G so you won't be running that turbo hard. You won't have to run crazy boost as well as having the turbo out of it's efficiency range.

I was dead set on my S16G for life until it started to fall off on the boost at 22psi to 20psi above 6000rpm. I bought an FP3052 to replace it...

people gets over excited with a 50 trim. It's not for everyone. it'll make power but only if you can afford to have all the supporting mods to go with it. And 50 trim supporting mods are expen$ive. That's my experience.

im using the same supporting mods i have now that i used for my big16g.. the only difference is i need bigger injectors.. which id idnt even have for the 16g.. so if u go straight to 660s instead of the usual 550s that 16g owners get.. its quite similar in price with supporting mods except the acual cost of the turbo no?

Ill sell you my fully modded and then some 16g with 2g j pipe and install kit for $600 with 6k on it. send me a message if yiur interested. you have some extra cash for a fuel pump, or injectors if your running more than 18 psi with it. Let me know.
