Does any one have pics of there third brake light?
Do you have a third brake light and where?
The reason i am asking is because i shaved off the spoiler and the 3rdbl was on it.
Do you need it?

Whenever I see someone with their 3d brake light out, I can't till if they're stopping or if they have really bright tail lights.

hmmm maybe i will make one then for the center piece.
It is just there doing nothing.
plus it gives me a reason to paint it so it can match the cars color.

Thats true, but if there is no light there at all its hard to tell anything is missing.

If your keeping the Wing, the Spyders have a cover to replace the 3rd brake light. If not, you can locate a turbo 3rd brake light. I don't have one. Except my center tail that lights up ECLIPSE

Do you need it?

It was required that all car companies have a 3rd (center) brake light on all US cars built after 1986. If you don't need it to pass inspection in your state (if you even have inspections), I wouldn't worry about it.

Do a search for 'universal third brake light' and you'll find a bunch of them on eBay.

I converted the 3 piece to the high-rise spoiler and have gotten pulled over plenty of times in my car, even at night. Never once did they mention a 3rd brake light. I say don't worry about it and spend your cash and time on some more important upgrades!

I am working on that 3rdbl right now.
I took apart the center light and took off the 3rdbl off the spoiler.
Now i am fixing to customize it and i will paint it the same color as the car.
When i hit the brakes it will light up but you will never know it is there and it will look clean.

I posted a pic of it installed on the car.. .but not illuminated. I'm now building Curtis's center light... finally he gave me the led strip, its really bright. I'll have pics soon, keep up to date.

BTW, this is the first time I've seen it finished and illuminated, so I'm really happy with my work. I am however going to develop an angled mount, so that the led strip is pointing directly toward the reflective area behind the ECLIPSE... That way its brighter... It even lights up the key hole, thats hot


In that picture, i just halfassed it very fast to get it done, I used aluminum foil to give the reflective surface. I'm going to use that cheap chrome paint, which doesn't dry chrome, more like a reflective silver...

Just push in the center of those pins that hold the 3rd brake light cover on & there you go.

its weird only one pin was like that.. i pushed the center in with a screwdriver and it poped out, but the other 3 dont push in and they look a tiny bit different..
