Do 1g FWD Struts differ from 1g AWD??

I'm thinking that the 1g fwd is not different from 1f awd...but I never owned a FWD so I don't know.
Any imput will be apreciated.

front struts are the same.
rear shocks are different.

According to the manual they are slightly different in length but have the same damping force, for stock units at least.

FWD:
Max length-19.02in
Compressed Length-12.99in
Stroke-6.02in

AWD:
Max length-19.25in
Compressed length-13.39in
Stroke-5.87in

Exactly, I know this because I ordered FWD rears and once we had my suspension torn apart and held it up to the mounting points it wasn't anywhere near the same i was so pissed
