ok heres one that has me fooled. i have a 95 eclipse gst with a 14 b turbo hard intercooler piping greddy bov k&n intake filter had when broke down auto meter oil presure volt and boost/ vacum gauge on the side of highway some one broke in took the stereo gauges and wheels but besides that it is now home it will not start it has fire fuel and the comression test brought back 90 psi the turbo has no shaft play heres the confusing part the #1 spark plug was bashed up,almost half way up the threads got a bore-oscope couldn't see any thing put another plug in it and nothing. the check engine light has always been on. i've had it read a hundred times they'd reset itand about 2-3 hours it would be back but now it just turns over no fire nothing i'm stumped any help would be great oh i also did a boost leak test like a week before it died it held at 25 lbs if all else fails if your in my town 1200 obo still has a lot of great stuff on it

I'm having a bit of hard time understanding what you're saying. Please use complete sentences instead of one big one. It'll help us understand your problem better and we can help. Thanks.

(To the Mods/Wisemen-My apologys for the moderating here by me.)

From what I can understand with your compression test only reading 90psi. There is definatley some sort of problem. You should be seeing 150psi across the board, with slightly lower readings on a more worn motor. With your one plug being mahed up did you mean the threads are damaged or the actual electrode of the plug is damaged? If the elelectrode of the plug is damaged I would suspect a mechanical failure. Check mechanical timing and make sure it all lines up and also check compression IN ALL CYLINDERS so you can compare cylinders. Electrodes on plugs normally become destyored from either running extremely lean or something went wrong inside the cylinder like piston or valve damage.

A) you overheated the car and blew the headgasket, lost compression and thats why it wont start

B) for whatever reason your spark plug broke (i think thats what happened, cant read your posts)whenever you do a compression test, the broken plug is letting out air... giving you a false reading

Please take the time to explain everythning more clearly so that people can help you

ok i'msorry for the grammar mistakes. lets start with the actual problem i was driving down the highway, at 75 mph with the cruise set. the car fell on its face. i turned the cruise off, slipped it out of gear, it had a fluttering sound. i still had 50 lbs of oil presure. the car was not hot. it died out, as i was coasting i tried starting the car but nothing happened like it was seezed. i tried popping the clutch it just slowed the car. i reached the side of the road. it sat 10-15 mins it would turn over again. wet home to grab a trailer, came back every thing was gone but their jack. got it home did a compression test 90 lbs across the board. the #1 cylinder spark plug looked as if someone took a hammer and smashed the electrode. the electrode and about 1/4 of the spark plug is smashed in. i did take a bore o-scope and could not see anything wrong in the cylinder. put another spark plug in it will crank. i've checked fuel spark. i want to check timing but i don't know where to find the timing marks. i'm thinking that the timing belt slipped but it dose still have good tension in it

you have internal failure you broke something inside the motor. Valve bent rod broke, only explanation for the mangled up sparkplug. Pull the head see whats going on, only after you have checked your timing marks on the motor first.

Even though there is still tension on the timing belt, it might have striped the teeth off the belt by the crank pully. Get down to the timing belt and then turn the motor over and see if the cams are moving, if not new valves are needed, possibley even more. You never know until you start tearing into it. Good luck with everything.

Pull the plugs and take your bore scope and look down the plug holes at the pistons. If you see any 1/4 moon shaped shinny spots, just pull the head!
