defroster lights comes on when rear wiper is turned on

well some punk ass kids smashed my rear window for no reason at all. just got a new window installed, but now my rear wiper wont come on. if i turn it on mine defroster light comes on but nothing happens. i got a new wiper motor from the junkyard and its not the motor. i checked for a fuse, but they are all good. any ideas.

sounds like a possible grounding feedback.. have you removed the trim covers and inspected the rear wiper motor and it's related wiring? Make sure it isn't unplugged, or jacked up is some manner?


edit: i misread the "replaced the motor" part, sorry...

Have you tested for voltages at the wiper motor, then, when it's switched on?
