Doesn't matter, Texas
About a year ago, I bought a 60mm Defi boost gauge/Link meter and had it installed by Works. It worked fine with no issues.

I later bought some cheap gauges off ebay (Oil press, Water temp) :ohdamn:. Went to have them installed by a mechanic back in Cali and both got ruined. When I left the shop I noticed my boost gauge was not working.
I did some inspecting and found nothing out of the ordinary, so I figured the boost gauge got fried.

I recently purchased a 52mm Defi boost that requires connection to the link meter. When I connected it, I got light to the gauge but no opening/closing ceremony and no reading of boost.

I am now suspecting the link meter, but before I spend the cash anyone had a similiar situation??

Have you checked the boost line under the hood (connected to a vacuum line, maybe FPS)?? Maybe the mechanic disconnected it accidently.

Yes sir, I noticed nothing visually wrong with (wires, hoses) when I did some looking under the dash and the engine bay.

But thanks for the opinion.

Is your Defi Boost gauge mechanical or an Electronic gauge with a solenoid ?

Good question. I am not sure, it does not say on the box or the instructions.

Ok, it's an electronic boost gauge. That little black box, make sure the harness is firmly connected to it, check the opposite end of that harness at the gauge itself. A loose connection will make it work from time to time or when you hit a bump. Give that a shot and report back.

Thank you Max. I thought the little box might have been fried as well, so I swapped it out with the new one I recieved with this gauge (The 80mm). The tinted lens one (60mm) was in the car and had stopped working.

The 80 is waaayyyy to big OMG, so I ordered the little dude. The wire from the black box goes to control unit, I checked that connection and it is secure.
