INforming. I wanted to see if any of you have tested this cars capabilities besides tranny, engine, speed, turns, blah blah blah....I was going to seal off my intake and anyting else that water can seep into and see how low i can go in water. I have yet to see if this car can Really Rally.

please only try that with a 1.8 or a honda or something of that nature.

Yar! That Avenger be a seaworthy car for the open ocean which be the road, says I.

I think that was the funniest thing ive heard in a while hahahah

i drove thru about a foot of water, it didnt look that deep and before i knew it i was in the middle going crap crap crap crap dont die, and i made it out but i sucked alot of water in and it was in my intercooler, the car barely ran and when i got home i took off the intercooler and it was like a river flowing out

4-6 inches at 10-15mph for about 6-8 miles and I had a 2" drop do to sportlines and tokicos. the next day flushed all oils and put in new fluid, no problems.

I took that car through hell. When it rained I was going through every puddle, flooded road, and field I could find. I live in the country so finding flooded roads and fields were no problem. The deepest water I have ever went through was when we took off the hood and turned the air intake so it was pointing up, then procceded to the field which had water over the hood and halfway up the window. That car was so awesome cause it never leaked water inside eventhough it got stuck with the water that high. My cousin had to get his Z-71 to pull me out. I never could kill that car, my mechanic bought it and it has been running perfectly for two years after I let it go. Oh yea but after I did that the transmission never shifted the same.

About a foot of water on accident with my CAI about 3 inches off then ground. Needless to say the old 2.0 is FUBR. Now when I crank it up it idles at 3500 rpm with smoke going everywhere. LOL

It don't bother me though cause in about a week I should be dropping in my 2.4 bored .60 over to 2.5. :D

About 2 feet (up to just below the windows) in the N/T for an intersection...Flash Flood... kept that thing in first gear and was just about flooring it to keep all the water from coming up throught the exhaust and flooding the engine. Damn that was scary. :thumbdown There's no need to try it unless you have to.

i had an 87 RX7 that was so low it would scrape every speedbump. It flooded here one time, and I had to go down this hill to get to work. The bottom of the hill was a valley which was flooded a few feet. The other routes to work were flooded even worse, so I had to go this way. I just gave the car all it had down the hill, and i was going about 70mph. Right before i got to the water, i shut the car off and turned the igninion off just to make sure i didnt lock the motor. When i hit the water, i was going to fast and the water was so deep that the water flowed all the way up my windshield and over the sunroof. It was like that for about 5 seconds and then the car came out the other side going about 20mph or so. I couldn't belive it, but if you have seen the front end of 2nd gen rx7's, they are like a big knife cutting through the air!

You guys are crazy. I'd put out my alignment on a curb to go around before I'd go through anything more than a couple inches.

My biggest fear: A turbo running RED hot, 100,000RPM and getting hit with a wall of twenty degree water. NOT a good idea

Not to mention hydro lock.
