theres a 92 Talon TSI AWD completely stock with 96,000 miles and its in like prefect condition and the car came from down south and no rust no grinds perfect car all sevices have been done all fluids topped off even a full tank of gas....but the dealership wants 6 grand and its not that big of a dealership just some small local one...and i know 6 grand is way to much for it.....what would you guys pay for it?

4,500 but there isnt alot of NICE Dsms left, most cheap people on here will tell you 2,000 or somthing low. If you want somthing nice, it might be worth it to the buyer, the car has to be mint though befor I would think about it,.

Bought my TSi AWD 92 black, no fading, 79k miles, MINT for 3100.

6K for a 14 year old car is a lot, even for a turbo DSM. I don't care what they say, it would definitely be a rare find to see one that old that hasn't been beat on, no matter what it looks like. Even if it's in mint shape, I'm sure it will still need some maintenance done to get it into a true modding state. I might go 4K also, but it would have to be damn near perfect.

And I agree, Carfax the car before you think about buying it. Then right before you buy it, take it to your favorite mechanic and have him throw it on a rack and look at it. You'll be surprised what they can find.

anyone have a carfax account?....i reall don't wanna pay 20 bucks for one report and im not sure if i want to pay 25 for unlimited cause i dunno if im ever gonna use it again

Yeah its alot, so are supras like im saying you show him were to find clean 1Gs under 100,000 miles.

Its very hard, and car is worth only what you want to pay for it. DSM owners are to cheap and need to see these cars are slim to find nice and you need to dump money into them to make them nice.

If a clean 1G comes by your way, I would scoop it up. Moral of the story I took a decent car, and replaced every damn thing to get it to be a very very nice car. My advice if you can find a mint one, save your self the trouble and pick it up.

Yeah its going to be hard to talk them down alot being its a dealership. But damn, 6 grand is a lot of money for that old of a car. I bought my car from a similar place, small lot with about 10 maybe 15 cars. It was a stock 95 GSX with 86k on it and i got it for 6 grand. So I guess its all up to you and how much the car is worth to YOU and not other people. Make sure what you are buying is what you want :thumb:

Kelly Blue Book says about $3700 suggested retail from a dealer, so $6k is way high. I paid $5k for my car which was in excellent shape, and that was when it was 8 years newer.

We don't do that here.
