First thing I don’t know the name of the parts that I am gonna be asking about but I’m not stupid I just don’t have the right vocabulary for them. I just done an engine install and I am having issues getting it to run correctly. I am pretty sure that it has something to do with the bov or something. It also has this little ball thing that hooks up between the bov and the turbo where it’s got the rod that opens up. The ball can be adjusted with an Allen wrench. It’s vacuum controlled and also the bov can be adjusted but I don’t know how. Also when you lift out of the throttle it is expelling air out of the air filter and I don’t have the hose hooked up between the bov and the cold air intake ( it was like that when I got it so I left it) it’s not wanting to idle right but if I take the gas cap off it makes it better for a short time then it gets rough again until I put the cap back on which that’s pretty well self explanatory I need to rebuild the gas cap or buy one. I’m getting boost bc you can definitely hear it spool up and blow off when you lift off and if you floor it. It’s weak until you get 3500 then all hell breaks loose and you better know how to drive or you gonna wreck bc it completely looses all traction and will keep spinning as long as you want. I’m not familiar with these turbo models but I’m wanting to learn. My car and all my parts had sat out for years before I got any work done. The engine I installed came out of a 96 with an automatic transmission so I had to take the flywheel off the engine I pulled but this engine had some kind of bushing in it that wouldn’t let the flywheel sit right so I knocked it out which was no small thing but I got that done but the starter doesn’t seem to engage correctly. And I have a noise kinda like a throw out bearing sound I think this bc it stops when I press the clutch. Anyway I know that is a lot of information and possibly won’t make sense to anyone but I’ve tried to explain things to the best of my abilities. Thanks for your time and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
