Crankshaft Sensor

does anybody know if there are supposed to be different Crankshaft Sensors for the 95 talon, I think mine is giving up but I can't find one for my car. the ones I found have different plugs. I checked autozone, oreiley, advance and several others but the connection is different

What shape and how many wire's is yours? Should be an oval 3 wire right about the oil filter. Yellow-Black/Green-Blue/White. Here is testing procedure.

it looks cracked so I think is faulty, it can still run but want to replace before I really have to change it, but wherever I look they only have the rectangular one. the one they have have the pins a bit more wider(- - -), mine are only pin like.( . . .)

Yours should be wide.

I already took it off, and saw it, and tried it, (doesn't work) i can cut the wires and put the sensor with the harness, but I wanted to avoid that

I just went through this issue, all crankshaft positioning sensors are the same from 95-99, should have long mounting tab and a triangular plug, here is a picture of what you need.

That's a turbo one. Wrong car. What colors does the one you bought have?

Does your have any numbers on it? Everything 95 showed the blade not pin style.

I don't know, I am at work so can't check it right now

got another '95 as well, I checked that one and has the blade. of course someone replaced the harness before since the cables have been cut

Replaced the harness on your car or the other car?

I got a '95 eclipse and '95 talon. the eclipse has the replace harness, the talon has the original harness which I have to change since I can't find the sensor that I need. I didn't want to mess with the harness but I guess I have no other choice

Yes change it to the harness it SHOULD have. Then get the correct CPS.

the talon which is the one I have to fix has the original harness, and the sensor that I need to find. the eclipse has the "changed" harness and the one with the right sensor

Get the colors off the changed harness and I will see what it came off of.

gonna change the eclipse harness to the talon and see if I can find another harness in a junkyard. easier than finding the sensor

here's the sensor that was on the talon, it seems damaged. I have been looking up any information on it but I can't find any. have you by any chance seen it before? I got the part # or at least i think but when I look it up I come up with nothing. the #s it has are: on top 1505, lower part 377 47810.
