Does anyone have some pics with what this should look like after the outside hub thing is off?

I seen a pic on that vfaq site...And was wondering.

I dont have the main pulley thing, its one of the things I gotta fix, which I got a new one ready to go. So now Im down to just the pulley like pictured in the How to make your own crank puller.

Those 4 bolts....How do they thread in? I was told by the guy I got the car from that mine were stripped out, and it looks like the heads just snapped off of them. Or is this how its supposed to look? I got pics, just dont have the cable to upload right now.

Some insight to this would be awsome, thanks.

If there are studs in the crank gear, they broke off. I would try a pair of vice grips if they are sticking out enough, or even a pipe wrench. If not out enough, you would need to drill and e-z out the bolts, or just get a new gear.

Ya, they are broke off inside then...I got a new pulley. How would I go about ripping the other off? Or do I have to still tap out the bolts anyway?

You still have to get the bolts out of the old crank sprocket. Just drill them out and take them out with an ez out. Had to do 2 on mine, took me 5 minutes to do.

Pull the center bolt out, and it should just slide off. The timing sprocket that the pulley bolts to is only held on by the main bolt. If it does not slide right off, you will need to drill out 2 to bolt a puller to it.
