Alright, Ive decided on Wiseco HD .040 over pistons but now have to decide on compression. Car will be run strictly on E85 until I get an aquamist kit on. Turbo will be FP HTA GT3586r. Can I get away with 10 to 1 compression running straight E85? Im looking to run about 22-25pds DD. Then use the aquamist 50/50 water/meth at the track with much more boost. Im trying to find out as much as I can since im ready to order. Thanks!

Most likely I'll have 10:1 next year; ripping the engine apart or building a new one will be a good winter project as I will otherwise be tempted to drive it in the winter again and have more rust sprout up underneath like last winter. My rings are probably pretty worn anyways as I only have around 140psi of compression.

I am running 11:1 with E85. The car made 533hp and 385tq on 20psi at 7800rpm. It actually made 554hp when I rev it to 8400rpm. I think it will make more but i ran out of time on the dyno and did not get a chance to really tune the time more. i think at 23-25psi, it will put out 600hp with no problem.

I am running a gt3582 on a 2.0l. aem ems, forrester intake, custom exhaust manifold, old school crower stage 3 cams and valve trains, chinabay stainless valve, bronze guides, home ported head, wiseco 11:1, eagle rods,

Go with the 11:1 or even 12:1. This way you can get a cheaper non ball bearing turbo to make reliable hp. High boost on non ball bearing turbo usually means premature thrust bearing failure. Also you can get away with running a smaller intercooler because you won't heat the intake air up with the high boost.

I myself have 10:1 compression ratio in my gst and I run straight e85. As far as turbo goes, I have a Holset H1E but I have yet to tune to its full capacity. I will update here when I actually get a full tune. I am running 1000cc injectors which might be my downfall.
