Can't wait to see more posts about how the event turned out. When is the next big import race? The cars been down for awhile and finally I have the new new setup ready to be assembled by the middle of next month.

No THAT was a fun DSM/EVO meet!
I had an awesome time out there, it was great to have you all cheering me on.
Extra special thanks to Sean from Full Function for coming through with a set of fresh plugs, that really did the trick for me.
I got second place in T4 in my first real drag race competition! I think I might be good at this?! :)

So who's got the vids? I got a couple with my digicam. One was a white EVO against a white Honda S2000 with a black hood. The second was a red EVO against a white EVO. I should be able to post up the vids by tomorow.

Congrats Dave!. That was totaly bad ass and you basically repped for the entire group. That Midnight Performance car is a beast, its well known around here in Sac. Pretty much Midnight Performance is here what FFtec is in the bay. They build the fastest sh*t out here and its nice to see such a dedicated DSMer hold his own against the big wigs with the big money. :thumb: Basically I've been getting sh*t from eevryone for deciding to drive all the way out to Union City to get tuned up instead of stayng local so I'm sure MP will be sending some of their cars around my way to try and "punk" me, but it hadn't worked in the past. (not saying they did it themselves, but maybe it was just a coinky dink?.. yeah right..) After I sell a kidney I'll be out there racking up a tab. LOL

Now that I'm upgrading my setup I'll definitely have to get some tuning advice from you on the SAFC setup Dave until I move onto something else. I should have the turbo in today (monday) if I can just find the banjo bolts I need for the water lines..

Great job on Sunday! Everyone else got to flex their muscles too.

Good sh*t fellas.. goooood sh*t.

I couldn't wait Here's a vid of two evo's racing. Is it Pat's car?

Hey Big Congrats again for the clinic you put on w/ your car :thumb:

Talk abaout consistancy and power :dsm:

You did a great job in the finals and with a bit more power you should be stompin that Honda into the ground :beatentodeath:

Sorry but that car you got on the vid is not mine :( No rear wing for me LOL

I think the only person that got vids was Kamil. Some still pics were taken by a bunch of people so we'll try and round them up and start a thread or something.

As for my car it did better than i had hoped...........too bad my driving was sub par to say the least. Although i think something may be up with my clutch set-up.

First time ever in the car it went 1.7 60 ft. / 7.4@93mph 1/8th / 11.6@124mph 1/4 w/ a huge mis-shift into 4th which occured on every run :toobad:

Needless to say there is tons more in it......funny looking at the log and watching 2 full sec. pass before the car was back to full boost in 4th after the terrible shift!

Hi Pat, your car is awesome, too. I heard about your dyno session, kinda cool how your car put down the same WHP as your area code. It takes a little practice to drive a powerful car to it's full potential. Are you going to the Test N Tune this Fri? I'm curious to see what a 510WHP evo can do.

Josh it was great talking with you out there. I remember when I was building up my car and all the stuff I learned along the way. I can help you out with SAFC tuning, but it works better through PM's or threads or someway I can write it down since I can edit poorly written thoughts until it all seems crystal clear and easy. If you want to start a thread just shoot me a link so I can reply in it.

I have a few ideas to squeeze more speed out of my car at the next event. I know I can do better on a Pro tree since I never felt like my car was really ready to go when the lights came down. I had to wait a little and release the clutch slower than I wanted to. Just wait until next time!

Dave

I'm going to do my best to make it up this Fri. for TNT but it all depends on the work load at the shop that day and if i can get the clutch situation worked out.

We also need to re-tune it for more boost as Sean is confident that we can touch 550 on our dyno.

Did some research and Dave Buschur in his RS went 9.97 w/ 540 whp on thier Mustang Dyno so i hope we are in the ball-park.

Also studied the slips and it was on a 10.80-10.90 run the very first pass before the horrid mis-shift.

Nice to see guys like you Dave that know what the car wants/needs and can make the necessary adjustments to go faster.

Look forward to racing with you again in the near future :thumb:

Thanks Dave, I've been blowing up your phone trying to get ahold of you but you are a busy man. I joined the DSM-Ecu group as suggested scouped up a Magnus SMIM and other than my injectors being to small (only 720cc densos) I'm almost ready to begin tuning 100% but I definitely want to see what I can get out of this ting even with the itty bitty 720s probably meaning I'll be out of the efficiency range at about 20psi max. :(

I'm jsut now putting faces to cars and to names and I even remember seeing Ted (I believe that is him) with the green Eclipse the same night I ran at Grudge Fest (29th) I wanted to see you get lined up with the tool in the Evo who put his flashers on me so you could blow his doors off. I definitely planned to but I kept losing my LICP.

If ANY of you guys come out to the track hit me up. PM me for my cell. I live in Sac and actually work about 15 minutes from the track so I'm down to show up and do some runs and we can both feed off of eachother. I have a brand spankin new setup I need to shine up and since everyone seems to be runnign 35rs anyways I'm sure I could lern from some of you big wigs.

So PM me, I missed tonight because of not being able to get the 2.5" 90 degree elbo local so hopefully I will be ready for either friday, next weds or whatever. :rocks:

The officials at the track weren't to happy with me after the last few 11.0 passes. But it sure as hell was fun pulling on everything then slamming on the brakes at the end of the track just to stay over 11.49. Ya, its time for a 6 point, and slicks.

Enjoy.

yeah, i was looking forward to seeing you run ted until I saw the offical kick you off the track haha I was like dammit
