I did alot of work to my car. some of it was replacing the clutch with the engine and tranny out of the car. I did not touch the tob or the clutch fork. the only thing that I messed with was the slave cylinder. I pulled off the rubber part where it hold the piston and got air in the line. I bled it and turned the car on and put it in gear and the car moves about an foot then stops moving. It feals as if the clutch is not fully engaged.

what do I do?

By taking the rubber part off you probably ruined the seal inside of it. Easiest thing to do it just go buy a new slave cylinder. Fairly inexpensive part and should be changed with a clutch anyways.

Have you tried bleeding, or burping the system? Try pumping it up some for engagement. Thats a good way to tell that you have air in your lines.

I just replaced my Slave Cylinder last night (way too cold to be working at night here) The issue I was having is that my clutch wouldnt fully dis-engage. It would move just fine when in gear, but was very notchy trying to shift, and you barley lift on the pedal and it would grab. I still need to have a buddy come over tonight to help me bleed the line but already from doing it a little my self there is a huge improvement. With the clutch not engageing could it be possible the slave is stuck in the open position? The only other thing I can think is the clutch fork or TOB are sticking, or possibly jammed. I wouldnt think a brand new clutch would fry that easy, unless its out of alignment or somthing.

all right i firgured out another thing,

My driver side axle (half shaft) that goes from the wheel to the bearing that bolts to the block broke when I took it off. I have the half that connects to the trnsmission hooked up, but the other half that goes to the wheel hub is missing. so heres my question. Would the car move if this part is gone?

Like electricity, the trans. if gonna take path of least resistance and try to spin the shaft that isn't connected to anything.

LOL I put the car in gear and looked at the half shaft and it is turning fast. And it does make sense seeing as how the awd visciouse system works.

haha. Sounds like you're gonna get screwed into paying a core charge when you replace it.

well I already paid the core charge and got the money back, and they gave me a front wheel drive axle (full axle, not half shaft with carier bearing) which as you can guess would fit..

so i have to pay the core charge again.
